Institute of Medicine

The Institute of Medicine(IOM) is an independent, non profit organization that works outside of governement to provide unbiased and authoritative advice to decision makers and the public. Their mission is to advise the nation on improving health. This is acheived by asking and answering the nationn's most pressing questions about health and health care. The IOM strives to help government and private sector to make informed health decisions by providing evidence that they can rely on. There are many volunteers that give their time and expertise to advance the work of the IOM.
