Blogging yourself out of a job

Discussing sensitive or confidential information should never ever be done except with the one it concerns or in a court of law. If withholding the information is a threat to the safety of others then there are other ways of disclosing rather than on a blog. My experience of blogs is very limited, but on an average they seem to be mostly a public area whose bloggers' main purpose seem to be either to vent or express personal views on matters.
